Madrasah of Amir-Tur

The madrassah is located in the northern part of Ichan-Qala among dwelling houses. It was constructed in 1870 by the brother of Muhammad Rahim-khan II (1863-1910) and was named after him. The main fa?ade has a high portal with octahedral niche and two-storied arcade of wings. High walls of other facades also create illusion of two-storied planning. The external d?cor is very simple. Majolica is available just on corner angular turrets - guldasta and their domes. Windows of hudjras still have Ganch lattices (pandjara).
