Mausoleum of Abdi clan

In Samarqand there are two esteemed places connected with burials of Islamic lawyers from the Arabian clan of Abdi going back to Caliph Usman. These are mausoleums of Abdi-Darun and Abdi-Birun. The first was located inside the city, and the 17^th century by famous minister Nadir Divan-beghi at mazar of Khodja Abdi who might be among the first Islam preachers in Samarqand. Abdi-Darun is a mausoleum of his descendant Khodja Abdal-Maz ad-Din who was Samarqand qazi in the 9^th century. The foundations date back to the 12^th century. In the 15^th century, the mausoleum was added with a room for praying opened on the courtyard with water reservoir.
