Ishrat-khana mausoleum

Ishrat-Khana mausoleum is located to the north of Abdi-Darun Mazar. It dates from the second half of the 15th century. The building has a big portal and high central hall which dome had preserved till the beginning of the 20th century. There is a crypt with twenty three female and children tombs under the floor. Mosaics, wall paintings and plafonds decorate its interior. Ishrat-Khana means "house of enjoyment" that express the idea of "enternal home for heaven life". The mausoleum is a necropolis of women and children from the Temurids. A possible customer of Ishrat-Khana might be the wife of Abu Said, Habiba Sultan-begim who constructed the mausoleum for the daughter Havend-Sultan-bika.
